An all new baseball-fans podcast from Scotland that focuses on the experience of baseball rather than the stats and in-depth analysis. Four fans, three from Scotland and a proud Yorkshireman, share their experience of following America’s game at home and abroad. The football loving fans from across the pond get into America’s game and seek to understand, explain and enjoy it from a lifetimes experience of watching traditional British sports. The Bullpen bros are rooting for the Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox. During the 2023 season we’ll bring you a regular review to help you not just understand what’s happened but importantly help you understand the simple yet complex game. We’ll give you our Heroes, Villains, Highlights, Fantasy Baseball update and our Triple AAA, Ask About Anything to help us all learn. Plenty of laughs along the way and mascot Hamish the Highland Bull makes regular appearances!

Welcome to the Highland Bullpen baseball podcast. And this weeks bonus episode is all about discussing our recent Ballpark adventures.
Rich joined the Tartan Army in Boston and Miami but also visited his spiritual home in Seattle and picked up some minor league baseball in Tacoma too. All this after flying into New York from Glasgow and a quick visit to Citi Field to see the New York Mets.
Dave Junior also saw a good number of games but stayed 100% loyal to the table topping Chicago White Sox and also managed to get his son to witness his first Sox win!

We really didn't expect to find baseball in our Highlands over 100 years ago but that was the consequence of the Great War. It did lead us to a discovery that there may have been baseball in the Highlands back in the 1800s but that's for another time! Sixteen minutes to find it all out here.

Little did we expect the extent of the Tartan Army takeover of Fenway Park during the FIFA World Cup. Bagpipes, a march, thousands of fans, songs, joy, beers. What was it like to be there?
Only way to find out was to get Tartan Army foot soldier Steven onto our podcast and talk us through it all. You can feel the fun of the evening through his words and enthusiasm.
Even better he is an NFL fan so we are working on his conversion! The Red Sox might have lost the game but I think they won many fans and enhanced theor reputation through their engagement with the Scotland fans. A heartfelt thank you to them.

Rich retains his hopes that the Mariners continue to grind away and get back to form amidst a series win over divisional rivals the Astros. Mucg depends on a continued uptick in last seasons stud, Cal Raleigh.
Highlander Alan doesn't see the same hope with the Tigers, injuries, suspensions, errors and loss of form brings a reality back to is this the real Tigers despite the big off season signings. Que Sera Sera.
